Eddie Jones says England can earn the right to beat their chest by sealing the Six Nations Grand Slam against France on Saturday. Jones side have already claimed the Six Nations championship, but Jones has called for his side to finish the job and secure a first Grand Slam title for 13 years. A Grand Slam means youve beaten everyone and that gives you a right to beat your chest a little bit, said Jones, who added his overwhelming priority is to win the 2019 World Cup. England v France in focus Talking points ahead of Grand Slam decider We havent done anything yet. Weve got the Six Nations trophy, but it doesnt feel like that. Once we beat France on Saturday it will feel like that.France away for a Grand Slam is a great test. The first 20 minutes is going to be a good physical test, but this is also a great mental test.Englands title win means Jones has already ended the countrys five-year wait for silverware, which also included four straight runners-up finishes in the Six Nations. And former Japan coach Jones is full of conviction that his side will earn their fifth-straight win in this years championship. England have already secured the Triple Crown, and now Eddie Jones wants his side to secure the Grand Slam Were the better team and we have to believe were the better team. If you go into Grand Slam games thinking youre not the better team you are going to get beaten, he added. We have to think we are the better team and put it on the paddock. Why have we won the trophy with one game to spare? Its not because we are inferior to the other teams. James Haskell explains how Eddie Jones has changed the England set-up. England can win their first grand-slam for 13 years if they beat France in Paris thi So we have to go out there and perform like that. If we cant handle that then were not as good as we think we are and we have to get better. The potential of this team is to start winning silverware and thats the opportunity on Saturday night. While Jones has inspired England to success following a difficult World Cup campaign, new France coach Guy Noves has watched his team lose their past two games to Wales and Scotland.Only bottom-placed Italy have scored fewer tries in this years tournament than France, but Jones believes Noves side have the ability to provide a serious challenge to Englands Grand Slam aspirations. France coach Guy Noves saw his side lose to Scotland for the first time in ten years last weekend If you look at their team, they have got very talented individuals. Were certain theyll play a traditional French game based on forward power and off-the-cuff rugby, Jones said.Weve just got to be intense and physical to not allow them in the game. They have got a new coach who likes a certain style of play and theyre trying to develop that play. When youre trying to develop a different game that encourages people to make decisions, youve got to expect mistakes. Some of the rugby against Scotland last Sunday was sublime. The first try was fantastic and if you allow them to do that back to back then it becomes a problem. The two-time champion of the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series presented by Mobil 1 proved once again he can figure it out on an oval, too. He showed that Friday night as he picked up the win in the Alberta Has Energy 300 in the inaugural event at Edmonton International Raceway. Ranger tied the series all-time record with his 19th career win, and won back-to-back races for the first time since August 2009 following his victory on the road course at Circuit ICAR in Quebec last week. It was also his first oval win since 2009, and fourth overall. "At the beginning of the day we didnt have a really good car, so we improved lap after lap," Ranger said "During the race my car was really fantastic." The race was stretched to 316 laps around the quarter-mile bullring following a late caution that involved early race leader Alex Tagliani, and required Ranger, who took the lead on Lap 269, to hold off LP Dumoulin and Jason Hathaway on the final restart. "The pass with Alex [Tagliani] was a little bit tough because it was almost one [racing] line here," Ranger said. "He did a little mistake and I was able to take him in [Turn] 3." Dumoulin and Hathaway waged a battle throughout the last two laps of the race for second and Dumoulin came out ahead, followed by Hathaway, J.R. Fitzpatrick aand D.ddddddddddddJ. Kennington. Joey McColm, Larry Jackson, Scott Steckly, rookie Stefan Rzadzinski and Noel Dowler completed the top 10. Fitzpatrick, Kennington and Steckly were all two laps down at different points during the race and rallied back for top-10 finishes. Tagliani, who won the pole position for the race earlier in the day, finished 13th. He led a career-high 268 laps. Fitzpatrick and Dumoulin are now tied for the season points lead after four races at 162 apiece while Rangers back-to-back wins have bumped him up to third, 12 tallies behind the co-leaders. Dumoulin has finished top-five in all four races this year, two more than any other driver. "Thats our first podium on an oval, and the guys have been working really hard," Dumoulin said after finishing second. "We were within sight for the last run. I knew being in second was not a good spot for the restart at the end, obviously we had to fight for that spot, but we kept our head up and made it happen." Ranger now shares the Canadian Tire Series career wins record with Kennington. That accomplishment came one week after he tied Fitzpatrick for the series all-time poles mark at 14. The race was slowed by 11 cautions for 94 laps, including two red flags. The Alberta Has Energy 300 will air on TSN on Sunday, July 20 at 3pm et/Noon pt and on RDS2 on Saturday, July 26 at 3pm et/Noon pt. ' ' '
